dress to impress.

and when I title this 'dress to impress' I don't mean impress like "oooo giiiirl check out that glitter!"
its more like
"I AM IMPRESSED!! becccccaaaauuuuse.. you are not only wearing clothes.. but clothes that help SAVE THE WORLD!"

so these are my current favourite sites that not only clothe you..  but do great things!
I hope you people who are reading this decide to check out the sites and possibly fall in love as well.

(my plan is to from now on only buy people gifts that 'give back' as well as a chunk of my wardrobe being clothing that has money towards GOOD! I WISH I could say all.. but.. I'm not at that state of mind yet.. some day... some day..)

1. http://www.punjammies.com/collections/all-punjammies-1/products/mari-full-single-border
pajamas.. you wear them when you go to bed at night, or sometimes you wear them like you would sweatpants to laze around the house. Wearing normal pants while eating breakfast is WRONG, thats right.. its WRONG!
THESE pajamas.. well.. PUNjammies..  hmm.. it'll be better off that I copy paste some of the description from the website.. why? for its wonderfully written and explains awesomely how awesome this cause is! so:

"PUNJAMMIES™ are created in after-care facilities for women who have been rescued, released or escaped from a life of forced prostitution. Their lives have been marked by a message – you are a commodity – to be used for others' gain.
Whether sold by her own family, trafficked from another country or driven by desperation, she was a slave to this life. Each story is as unique as each woman.
When a woman escapes from this life, she has few options. Beyond their emotional and psychological trauma, women in India who have been forced to work as prostitutes cannot easily enter schools, return to family systems or secure jobs to support themselves. A high-quality after-care center is one of the best options a woman has for rebuilding her life.
Holistic aftercare involves quality medical care, emotional safety, education along with the tools and community to create a new way of living.
PUNJAMMIES™ is the vehicle used to empower each woman.  Instead of the vicious cycle of her former life, the making of PUNJAMMIES starts her on her own virtuous cycle of self-reliance and dignity.  A simple thing like making pajamas is what it takes.  With the brothel behind and opportunity ahead in a new, supportive community, she is gradually restored to health.  When its time, she is trained to sew -- and more importantly, to contribute as an integral part of an inter-dependent team.   Here is where she learns that she is valuable, to take pride in her work, and to trust again. To trust again--in herself and in others!  Her past diminishes and her future brightens.  She is becoming the kind of person she was made to be!
When one woman was asked about how her life has changed, she said, "In the brothels, I was alone. But now I have sisters."
Every pair of PUNJAMMIES™ tells the story of a woman who was, once, voiceless. When you buy her PUNJAMMIES, you are key part of her path, out of modern-day slavery, into a life of hope, dignity and freedom.
Wear PUNJAMMIES™. Wear hope"

yep. this is the only place I'm buying pj pants

2. TOMS
I try not to assume that everyone knows of the marvellous TOMS, because I often have to explain the amazingness about TOMS! (I wear them pretty much at all times when I have to wear footwear, unless major snow, YES they sell warm shoes, haven't got to that point yet.. ) they also yes.. do sunglasses and help out with people and getting eye care and such.. but I personally have only owned the shoes.. and will keep buying these shoes over and over, all colors.. such joy they bring me!

"Many children in developing countries grow up barefoot. Whether at play, doing chores or going to school, these children are at risk:
•A leading cause of disease in developing countries is soil-transmitted diseases, which can penetrate the skin through bare feet. Wearing shoes can help prevent these diseases, and the long-term physical and cognitive harm they cause.
•Wearing shoes also prevents feet from getting cuts and sores. Not only are these injuries painful, they also are dangerous when wounds become infected.
•Many times children can't attend school barefoot because shoes are a required part of their uniform. If they don't have shoes, they don't go to school. If they don't receive an education, they don't have the opportunity to realize their potential."

3. Sevenly - cool! not just focused on one charity... but focus on getting charities out their and having their voices heard, raising awareness, raising money.. and SMART idea! they change their charity every week.. so you don't 'get bored & forget' loosing focus on things? nope. this one might be hard to explain and copy paste.. so I say GO TO THE WEBSITE. my mind is blown..
