weekend shenanigans!

a hoodlum without a hood...
yep. thats what they'd call me!
not only am I spending my saturday evening washing pillows.
but I am washing pillows with tennis balls.
(unused fresh out of the package.. ew gross! to otherwise!)

EH? WHAT?
I know.. its kinda loud..
and sounds like someone is angry and not giving up on the door knocks..
BUT its not really my laundry machine... so I'm willing to see how well this works!
apparently putting it in the dryer with you pillows 'beats out' your pillows so all the moisture and yuck gets the boot with the tennis ball... I'm willing to try it! for I don't like the idea of all the bugs and stuff that march around on (or in) your pillow...

I ALSO have created things for allergy and cold season (more on that likely tomorrow)

and currently I am awaiting 'apple chips' to be ready from the oven!
(hahahah funny.. cause the timer JUST went off!)
(but don't worry... I'd stop blogging now.. but I have to take them out of the oven and then I have to turn off the oven wait a bit and then put it back in the oven! whewf! drying it out!)

the instructions say to use like normal apples... but since we have a ginormous apple tree in the backyard.. I figured now would be a perfect time to use some of them!

sooo...
you cut apples small slices...
soak the apples in apple juice (I didn't do this for I'm cheap and wanted to be cheap so I used water)
annnnd cinnamon (in the instructions it said 1tsp but I thought that was lacking so I added more)
then you let it soak 12 minutes or so... I'm lazy (and smart) so instead of cutting them and THEN soaking them... I cut and soaked at the same time.. lots of mini chop chops.. i'm sure its less time consuming for normal sized store bought apples..

but..
meh!
This is FREE!!

you have a pan.. and then a drying rack ON TOP of the pan (shocker... our oven is toooo small for the drying rack... so i'm cooking these with the oven semi open.. which is fine with me cause it smells soooooooooo wonderful!)
cook it 20 minutes... blog
take it out
wait... (for how long? I do not know!!)
and then when its cooler.. in the oven..
you put it in for 6 or so minutes..

and POOF! you should have chips!
